Will Vinegar Cure Foot Fungus?
July 5, 2008 by: ToddieMI have often told patients that there is no effective cure for foot fungus. Most of the treatment involves taking some oral anti-fungal, and painting the toenail with an anti-fungal topical.
Expensive, and when patients hear about the potential liver damage, most are happy to live with that fungus among us.
There does seem to be some anecdotal support behind the use of white vinegar for curing the fungus. Fungus does not grow well in an acidic environment. The ingestion of apple cider vinegar can help this process along.
I feel the use of a white vinegar would be a great adjunct for the treatment of this difficult malady. Just pour in enough white vinegar to totally cover your toes, get a basin full of water, and start soaking. You’ll probably need your vinegar baths for about as long as you would have to take the pills….about six months worth!
